About Us
In 1971, Southside Towing & Recovery of Bemidji, MN opened its doors as Southside 66; a Phillips 66 full service gas station with a two bay repair shop. Rodney Burnham had purchased the former business and ran Southside 66 for 25 years. He purchased his first tow truck in 1976. Hard work and long hours from Rodney and his staff helped build Southside 66 into a successful part of the community. Rodney’s son, Paul, started working at the business as a child eventually learning the business from the ground up. Paul purchased the business from his dad in 1996 and continues the professional and dedicated service that Southside Towing & Recovery provides today.
